We recently filmed the wedding video of Trisha and Sunny in the fantastic Wine Port Lodge in Athlone – wineport.ie/ It’s also where RTEs hit programme The Restaurant is filmed- http://www.rte.ie/tv/therestaurant/
We love filming weddings here, as it’s such a picturesque location. Both the civil ceremony and the reception were held in the lodge. Trisha arrived in style on a Yacht! The pre-dinner drinks reception was held in the garden overlooking the magnificent lake. The weather was absolutely fantastic and a great day was had by all.
Congratulations guys and enjoy your wedding video highlights!

We recently did an interview for the boys and girls at mrs2be.ie for their Wedding Vendor Spotlight section. The interview was a fun insight of the workings of DC Media.
There’s no doubt about it. A wedding videographer is a must for your wedding but choosing the right one can be a timely task and should be taken on with a little preparation. Each videographer has a different approach, technique and communication style and while each has its pros and cons, it can take interviewing a few until you find the right one for you and your wedding. While some videographers have a traditional style, some others may be too modern for your taste so it’s important before you interview them that you know what you want. Here are some pointers and tips when choosing a videographer that should make the rest of your wedding process smooth as well.
The most important question to start the interview off with is, are they available the day of your wedding. If they are, proceed to the other interview questions. If not, find a videographer that can accommodate you on our wedding day.
What do their past clients say? Can they show you testimonials?
How many years experience does the videographer have? Is he or she a full time professional videographer?
Has the videographer filmed in the church and ceremony in the past?
Ask to see samples of their work. This will tell you a lot about their videographer style and what they will and can do for your video, along with your requests in mind. For example, do you prefer a storytelling, traditional video or a more modern, fast paced style?
What camera/audio equipment will you use? Do they shoot in high definition or standard definition? Do they use lights? Wireless mics? These are all important questions as this can determine the quality of the finished production.
Are they discreet when filming? Do they remain in the background or interact with the wedding party?
Is a deposit required? If so, when?
How many hours filming does the price include? How much will it cost if I want to go over the allotted time? How to you handle overtime payments?
How many DVD’s are included in the price? How much for additional DVD’s for family members or friends?
Will the finished DVD contain chapters? Is there a highlight section? What extra do you provide?
When can I expect my completed DVD?
These are just a few questions you should as any videographer before booking.
While there may seem to be a lot questions, it’s the most important part of the interview because it’s worth the time it takes to find a videographer that’s right for you. Good luck, have fun and enjoy your wedding!

A state of the art, fully edited and error proof, professional wedding video that highlights the best moments of your wedding. We recently filmed Stephanie and David’s wedding. It was a fairytale wedding! The church was in The Holy Rosary, Greystones and then it was on to the magnificent Powerscourt House in Enniskerry, a truly great place to film. Photographers on the day were Keith & Evelyn who were a joy to work with and true professionals – kwoodardphotography.com
We really enjoyed filming this wedding. Stephanie and David were so relaxed and chilled on the day and I think it shows in their wedding highlights.
We hope you enjoy your wedding video highlights guys!
In 2010, the wedding videographer became the single most important commodity for the average wedding and do you know why? Unlike other wedding vendors that contribute to the big day, there is no one else responsible for creating something that she can relive her wedding day with. For any bride getting married in 2011-2012, the wedding videographer is a staple for each and every wedding day and the single person responsible for allowing you to relive it for the rest of your lives together.
Are the flowers in place? Is the cake ordered? Have you picked out the bridesmaids dresses yet? With so much to do before your big day, it’s easy to overlook hiring your wedding videographer. DC Media of Irish Wedding Videos knows how stressful it can truly be, which is why they make it easy on you from beginning to end. Their work is error-proof. They are professional in every aspect. They film every important moment, person and location you desire. Most of all, they exceed your expectations with a fully edited wedding DVD you can watch throughout your lifetime.
Even so, some people still wonder if you really, really do need one. After all, you have your wedding photographer in place. Is a DVD really all that important? The importance of hiring a videographer varies from person to person but here are our top reasons to hire a videographer, and if you don’t believe us, ask the dozens of past clients in DC Media’s testimonials at www.dcmedia.ie/testimonials .
They aren’t done until its perfect. Filming your wedding is only half of their job. DC Media knows that your life is stressful and you have more important things to worry about than following up with the videographer and make sure he’s doing his job. So they take care of that for you. Once they are done filming every important moment of your wedding you never want to forget, they professionally edit and add in special effects such as music and close-ups, so that you never have a chance to forget how beautiful you looked walking down the aisle.
They know how to handle a camera and all of your last minute requests. Some brides like to save the money on hiring professionals by hiring a long lost uncle who happily offered to film your wedding. The problem is, he has a shaky hand, drops the camera and is perpetually late. With a professional videographer, you don’t have to second guess whether or not your wedding is being filmed and if each important moment is captured. Videographers like DC Media are professional videographers and unlike your Uncle, we are always on time!
A professional videographer knows that the most important part of his job is excellent customer service, from beginning to end. On the big day we are so discreet and unobtrusive, we feel this is key to getting the best and most important footage on the day.
The importance of hiring a videographer isn’t just about what they can or can’t do for you, but how they make you feel about yourself and your up coming wedding. Are you comfortable around them? Do they understand your needs? DC Media of Irish Wedding Films knows that understanding their clients and their needs come first, each and every time.
What’s most important to you? Why will you hire a videographer? Whatever your reason make sure they make the cut on the specifications in the list above, and have a beautiful wedding day!
We filmed the beautiful wedding video of Emma and Jeff recently. The ceremony was in one of my favorite Dublin churches, St Moctas church in Porterstown. We then filmed the photo and video shoot at the fantastic wooden bridge in Clontarf, which is an absolutely fabulous setting.
Photographers on the day were Photos by Jen – photosbyjen.ie , true professionals and always a pleasure to work with. Emma and Jeff were so laid back and great to work with. They were absolute naturals when it came to the photo and video shoot.
We then set off to the reception, which was held in Clontarf Castle – clontarfcastle.ie.
Everyone danced into the wee hours of the morning with the help of my favorite band Hit Connection – thehitconnection.com they really know how to get the party started!
Congratulations Emma & Patrick, we really hope you enjoy your wedding video highlights!
